Saturday, March 9 We were on the road early to attend the York Adams Prayer Breakfast in Cross Keys, PA, on March 8. (I am finally caught up on my photos from early March – due to my computer being at TCW for repair.) It seems strange to see snowy pictures from just a few […]
Tuesday Evening, March 19 What fun to have Jordan stop in last week to show us his new work truck. He is a salesman for J-Mar Fencing – and loves his job. He does a lot of work in our area, but has also told us about trips to Maine and Virginia. Call the phone […]
Sunday, March 24 Sunday School – Nevin Ebersole, Teacher – Study of Zacchaeus Did you ever seek God with a “vengeance” – all of your heart? Jesus is a heart-reader. Every single person is on the heart of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the one who helps us see our condition – only Jesus can […]
When redoing our man cave the other month, I decided that the final touch to the room would be to clean the carpet, but when I got my trusty Oreck carpet cleaner out of the closet, it decided to give up the ghost. My very wise husband suggested that we rent a cleaner from Longenecker’s […]
Thursday, March 7 I was looking forward to this lunch with Marcy and Cookie – to celebrate our February birthdays. I love dining with friends and going to new restaurants. (It had to be cancelled one time because of ice and snow.) This location in York, PA, was an idea from Marcy. Neither Cookie or […]
I was having trouble connecting to the internet with my laptop, so called my trusty tech company – TCW Computers – and talked to one of the technicians. From our phone conversation, he concluded that I probably needed a new internet card – because the other two computers in the house worked fine. We took […]
Friday Evening, March 15 For those who do not live in our area, LCBC is a large church with initials that mean Lives Changed By Christ. Our grandson Jesse trying out the Slingshot that was parked at the entrance door. A display by Kanati Elite Taxidermy Studio. This beautiful sable took me back to our […]
Saturday, March 16 Enjoy our beautiful drive to New Holland in the early morning. Cerwin and I enjoyed breakfast with these guys and Inge. She and I came to add a bit of color to the breakfast. Cerwin shared a few chapel stories about changed lives. I shared something I wrote – including Bible verses […]
Sunday, March 17 We visited Manheim Brethren in Christ Church due to being invited to share our financial experiences with a Sunday school class. This particular class is studying Dave Ramsey financial videos, and our son Jere mentioned that Cerwin and I appreciate Dave Ramsey. Consequently the class leader thought it would be good to […]
Thursday, March 14 I was honored when Doris Herr (left) invited me to join her and Sharyn Stoner for lunch at Brickerville House Restaurant. It was for Sharyn’s birthday. I have know Doris since we went to a one room school house together. She was one grade ahead of me. Sharyn lives nearby, but I […]
I know. I know. Many of you saw robins before me. But it still feels like springtime will soon be here. Also, the Eastern Bluebirds continue to bless my viewing pleasure.
Wednesday, March 13 We needed a few things at Wal-Mart – which takes us right by Fox Meadows – so it was a good time to stop for lunch. After placing our order we waited at one of the only available tables. This was my view. This was Cerwin’s view. I ordered a half Basil […]
The other day I looked out the window and saw an Amish neighbor taking two wagons down the road and knew where he was going – to Penryn Fire Hall for Saturday’s sale. They need lots of farm wagons for the outside auctions. I wish I could have captured a photo of him returning, because […]
During some years, March 16 comes and goes and I don’t think about the date, but for some reason today is not like that. Because it is the date of my mother’s death – 45 years ago – I looked for a crocus that was blooming. I didn’t have much hope in finding one, but […]
Sunday, March 10 at the Balmer Pavilion I was honored to be invited to Steph’s bridal shower – as I am a great aunt. However, we Hershey great aunts do have a special connection, because they will be living on the Hershey Homestead. We are having fun watching them update the old, sandstone part of […]
We love you! Grandpa & Grandma
Does your husband/wife do something that irritates you? Yesterday I read a suggestion for helping change your attitude about this. I forget where I read it, but the lady said her husband rarely shuts cupboard doors. It got my attention, because Cerwin is like that – often leaving cupboard doors and drawers partly open. I […]
Sunday, March 10 Sunday School – Called to Sacrifice Teacher, Kevin Longenecker What is sacrifice for us – where we live – at our age (our class’ age group is mid to high 70s). Maybe giving of our time. Are we serving, giving, and sacrificing for the right reason? If not – it profits nothing. […]
I was excited when Ian texted us yesterday and said he passed his driver’s test. I texted my congratulations and told him that I had a few things that belonged at his house if he wanted to drive over and get them. (His family lives a mile from us.) Before long I saw his black […]
