I found some interesting facts about daisies on the Internet. There are approximately 4000 species of daisies that differ in size, shape, color and type of habitat. They are found on every continent except Antarctica. Daisies can live in both wet and dry climates, and they are resistant to pesticides and insects. Not a picky […]

Our Calla Lilies are Blooming

I took a walk in our yard today to see what is blooming and was happy to see pretty Calla Lilies. Some interesting facts about Calla Lilies – from the Internet: The Calla lily is a perennial bulb. Thought called a lily, Calla lilies are not really lilies. Calla is a flowering genus of twenty-eight […]

Celebrating Dustan’s Birthday

Wednesday Evening, June 20 We arrived at JoBoy’s a bit early because we had to stop at a few other places and neither took very long. This was Dustan’s choice for his birthday supper. Because we had a ten-minute wait, I had time to take pictures of the area around us. I wanted to take […]

Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16 I chose to place this truck in a post by itself because it is so unusual. Did you ever hear of a Duplex? The owner said he knows of three registered Duplex trucks in the country. Jake talked to the owner (black hat) who said it is a […]

Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16 Because there are so many trucks at this show, I try to look for and feature a specific year. This time I chose Chaplain Jake Wise’s birth year 1959. I found only four. There may have been more, but I looked each time we were out on the […]

Birdfeeder Visitors

| Animals, Birds

Wednesday, June 13 It’s always fun to see a bird eating from the ladle feeder. Do pesky squirrels know they are pesky? It didn’t bother me too much because the seed was getting old. That way I didn’t have to empty it into the ground feeder where the squirrels, skunks, and raccoons have my permission […]

My husband, Cerwin, and I have four children, seventeen grandchildren (2 are in Heaven), and 19 great grandchildren. Cerwin spent 40 years as a truck driver for Ferrellgas. We are both retired from serving with Transport For Christ - a ministry to truck drivers - and love our life in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
