After eating in the breakfast room of our motel in Sturbridge, we headed northeast with a goal of reaching Sanford, Maine, by 10:30 am.

The morning started out gray and cloudy.

After being on the road for about an hour the sun came out displaying many leaves in their full glory.

We arrived at His, Yours, and Mine right on time – according to our plans.

Marcy Rogers was pleased by the supplies we brought from our church family. She and her husband John own the store.

We had several large bags of twin-sized quilts and two suitcases of clothing for their thrift store.

I took a few pictures inside the store to show you how beautifully they display the items that are given to them.

There are also lots and lots of clothing on racks or displayed nicely according to size.

The leaves were especially pretty as we traveled from Sanford to Lisbon Falls, Maine.

Diane told us to meet her at Sew Chateaux where she works. Our GPS told us we would arrive there by noon.

I asked Diane how her boss Michelle named the store. She said it was named after her French grandma who taught her how to sew.

A picture Michelle took of us with Diane to send to our other children to inform them we had arrived.

Michelle and Diane

Diane and Michelle love arranging the bolts of fabric which is mostly used for crafts and quilting.

The rag quilt Diane made for display in the store.

From there we went to a nearby restaurant for lunch. The loaded fries were Cerwins.

Diane had a chicken parmesan sandwich and broccoli/cheese bites. I had shrimp and garlic fries. We had enough leftovers for another meal.
Now we are relaxing in Mark and Diane’s comfortable living room. It is almost 6:30 as I post this. Mark just got home and it is time for a supper of fresh sweet potato soup that Diane made while I was blogging. 🙂

Wow — those trees are beautiful! I have never seen them like that ecept in photos! And I would love the two stores — the donated quilts are beautiful, and the fabrixs would make gorgeous quilts!
