Yesterday was a nice day, so I walked around the yard to see what was blooming or interesting.

Since the dogwood leaves are dying the red berries (drupes) are showing brightly.

Birds and small mammals notice the pretty red berries, eat them, and eventually spread the seeds.

The Stone Crop is beautiful in its delicate white and pink display of flowers.

Butterflies and bees were busy collecting pollen.

Several weeks ago, when our mint tea was blooming and getting rather leggy and ugly, we cut it back to the ground. I will soon be able to make tea again.

I do love our woodsy yard and the beauty it brings.
