Lunch at Tosco Pizza with Ian and Nicole

Yesterday we celebrated Ian’s birthday (which was the day before) by taking them to Tosco Pizza in Myerstown.

We enjoyed catching up on their lives and learning more about them. It blesses my life to sit and talk with grandchildren.

Cerwin and Nicole had stromboli, Ian’s choice was a deep-dish cheese pizza, and I had fettuccini alfredo with broccoli.

After the meal we delivered a coffee table to their house. Cerwin made it from an oak tree that once grew on the homestead. My brother Dale and his wife Dot asked him to make it when they built an addition to the farmhouse.

Recently, many years later, Dale and Dot moved to a cottage in a retirement community and have no room for it. Dale and Dot thought someone in our family might want it since Cerwin made it. When I sent out a picture to our family, Ian and Nicole quickly replied that they would take it.

Cerwin and Ian attached the drop leaves that add space to the table.

Finished and flipping it over to the legs. It looks so nice in their living room. It was fun learning about their love of old well-made furniture and decorations.

They were standing in their doorway when we left, and I spotted a place for a good picture.
