Notes from Sunday Worship

Sunday School – Nevin Ebersole, Teacher – Study of Zacchaeus

Did you ever seek God with a “vengeance” – all of your heart?

Jesus is a heart-reader. Every single person is on the heart of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the one who helps us see our condition – only Jesus can give us forgiveness and change our condition.

When salvation came to Zacchaeus, a change came to his house and life. Zacchaeus is a study on the mercy of Jesus.

Church – Jon Cassel, Minister – Titus 1

We are the ones who have hope. We are the ones who get to watch God’s amazing plan.

God is good and He is working.

Set your life in order and plan for change – God’s way.

Titus was a lone missionary on the island of Crete because he recognized a need for reaching the lost. We have work in our own backyard.

Most people in our congregation are from Lancaster and Lebanon Counties (Pennsylvania). Research shows that there were 681,000 people in these two counties in 2017 and only 25% professed to be Christians.

The battle is not leading counties to Christ – but people.

How do we confront opposition – people who distort the gospel?

Remember, as we share the gospel – we were also foolish at one time in our life. Remember with humility what we have been transformed from.

Do unbelievers see that Christian lives are different?
