The neighbor’s bison are not always in this field which is close to the road when we go home from Jere and Kristen’s house, so that along with the sunset, I thought I may get some good pictures.
Cerwin stopped so I could get out of the car to get a better view.
I was hoping to get a close up of some of the calves, but this huge male came toward me with a lot of huffing and stomping, so I thought I better get back in the car.
It reminded me of the time we visited with the owners and talked about their bison. He said sometimes someone will ask if he can walk among them and pet them. He said I often have to remind people; these guys are not pets but wild animals.
Those are pretty good photos — you can’t often get even that close to bison!
It is fun having them in our neighborhood – less than a mile away when they are in this field.
