I was excited when Ian texted us yesterday and said he passed his driver’s test.
I texted my congratulations and told him that I had a few things that belonged at his house if he wanted to drive over and get them. (His family lives a mile from us.)
Before long I saw his black Jeep. 🙂 He said it felt strange to drive without one of his parents in the passenger seat.
We have seventeen grandchildren – sixteen living with us here on earth and Elijah in Heaven. There are now fourteen with driver’s licenses.
Congratulations to Ian — I’m sure he was excited to run the errand to pick up things at your house. Another step to adulthood! Wow — only three more to go!
Actually only 2 to go! I expect Elijah may be driving chariots in Heaven. 🙂
Oh, my — I’m sorry — I misread your last paragraph! I’m still a little distracted after my trip! Two more to go — pretty soon they’ll all be driving!
