Sunday School – Called to Sacrifice

Teacher, Kevin Longenecker

What is sacrifice for us – where we live – at our age (our class’ age group is mid to high 70s).

Maybe giving of our time.

Are we serving, giving, and sacrificing for the right reason?

If not – it profits nothing. 1 Corinthians 13

Another challenging verse: Obedience is better than sacrifice. 1 Samuel 15:22.

What do people see when they watch your life.

Church – Missionary Sermon

Visiting Minister – Garnet Myers – Saul’s Compelling Vision

Saul was exceeding angry against Christians. Acts 26

We know people like that today.

Saul heard a voice saying, “I will make you a minister and a witness.”

A real experience for Saul. It changed his life.

Jesus has also changed our lives – he has lifted us up from the power of Satan to the power of God.

We must look at the people we meet – the people in our lives through God’s eyes.

God’s Word turns darkness to light. Don’t be ashamed to stand up against the darkness of the world.

We have heard the joyful sound, Jesus saves, Jesus saves.

There is no other name under Heaven by which we can be saved.
