Tuesday, March 10 Sometimes I just have to go outside – and I can do that because we live in the country – instead of listening to news. The hyacinth are beginning to bloom. The pink and the purple Daffodils are bursting in the buds. The crocus are in full bloom …and oh, look, the […]
Monday, March 9 The sky looked a bit like an ocean. A few fun facts about clouds A cloud is a large group of tiny water droplets that we can see in the air. Clouds are formed when water on Earth evaporates into the sky and condenses high up in the cooler air. Most clouds […]
We love you! Grandpa and Grandma
Saturday, March 7 Did you ever see an advertisement on TV or smell the scent of a favorite food in a mall or grocery store and have it influence your next purchase? We were watching TV last Saturday afternoon when I noticed a sub in an advertisement and thought, “I would enjoy a good sub […]
Thursday Morning, March 5 Isn’t is amazing that day after day the sun rises on a new day – no matter what is going on in the world and in our world. A sign of God’s faithfulness.
This includes a variety of photos from the past six weeks. I had a funny thing happen today, which reminded me that it was time to post another set of bird photos. As I thought about what I would post this evening, I got up from working on my laptop and went to get my […]
Wednesday, March 4 The first crocus in our yard always reminds me of my Mother. These crocus bulbs were her last gift to us – for our 10th wedding anniversary in September 1973. She died suddenly in March 1974. Inge, this is your area – the burial plot for you sweet cats. I will let […]

Pictures were taken during the past few months They are fun to watch. This is a female, because the red cap does not go to the beak. The red on the male goes from his crown to his beak. It is often difficult to figure out why they are called red-bellied, but this photo shows […]
Tuesday, March 3 I took the photos between 6:26 am and 7:36 am and enjoyed watching the pastel colors appear when the sunrise and fog mixed.
Monday, March 2 I heard machinery outside in the field and checked to see what was happening. Whatever they were spraying, it was prepping the fields for the spring and summer crops. Love our country life.
I had fun watching a group of crows the other day. A group of crows is called a “murder.” They take big steps and walk with purpose – in a kind of waddle. Fact about crows from the internet: The female lays four to five eggs and incubates them for 18 days. At four weeks, […]

Saturday Evening, February 22 One of the benefits of being at the Sportsman’s Dinner was that Cerwin won one of the door prizes – a Domino’s medium pizza. Since we were in Ephrata – with a Domino’s located on our way home – we decided to cash in our coupon that night and make it […]
