A Gift of Homemade Bread

Oh, how I love to receive a gift of homemade bread – especially when it is from my brother Dale. It was a belated birthday gift – given to me when I had brunch with his wife, Dot (yesterday’s post.)

Dale makes bread for the large Mennonite Disaster Relief Auction at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center, Harrisburg, PA, in early April.

They use a loaf of his bread as the opening item for bid at the auction. It raises a lot of money. 🙂 It was nice to get mine free.

From the Internet: The Pennsylvania Relief Sale supports Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) in its work to share God’s love and compassion by responding to basic human needs and working for peace and justice.

Dale said he hadn’t made bread for awhile and needed to get some practice. I told him that will sell.

He can practice baking bread and giving it to me anytime. 🙂

Thanks, Dale.
