I rarely make an entry about sparrows because they are so common, but I figure they need their own post just like some of the pretty and less common birds. The internet tells me: Sparrows can be found in nearly every habitat, from deserts and arid grasslands to marshes, forests and even urban areas. Most […]

~~~ Sunday Afternoon, July 24 ~~~ I enjoyed watching a few Amish buggies on the road in front of our house as they traveled home from morning church.
~~~ Saturday, July 23 ~~~ We enjoyed this event last year when we basically went to “hang out” with our friend Sam Rittenhouse, so decided to go back again this year to learn more about the ministry – and “hang out” with Sam and his dog Suzie. Oh, and to enjoy the good food. 🙂 […]

We love you! Grandpa and Grandma High
I took the first picture in early July and the last one today. Notice the height of corn by the window on the small shed on the right. Also, you can still see the road that goes by our house. July 26 – The window is almost covered, and you can no longer see the […]
~~~ Friday, July 22 10:00 AM ~~~ Our driveway was ready for a sealer topping. They started about 10:00 AM by blowing off debris. Then they sealed all the cracks. By the time they were finished it looked like Kintsugi. Kintsugi is usually used on pottery, but I guess the same analogy can be used […]
~~~ Wednesday, July 20 12:00 Noon ~~~ We got there just before noon and the room reserved for us was already full. 🙂 I remembered to take a few pictures after we were finished eating. Do you think John and Marvin noticed that I was taking a picture. 🙂 Six of us (Gerald, Lucy, Kenny, […]

~~~ Thursday Evening, July 14 7:00 PM ~~~ We had some other responsibilities and a busy week, so were only able to attend on Thursday evening. This year’s study and activities were centered on the country of Australia. The theme verse for the week. This song brought out a lot of activity and joyous singing. […]
~~~ Sunday, July 10 8:13 PM ~~~ I love when a day closes with a gentle glow.
~~~ Sunday Evening, July 10 8:14 PM ~~~ While I was outside enjoying the evening air, I looked at our trees and thought about their height. Most of the ones you see in these pictures were here when we built our house in 1967 – fifty-five years ago. We added a few when we took […]
~~~ Wednesday, July 13 1:00 PM ~~~ As I was taking this picture of Bunny, Peg, Inge, Cerwin and Sam, a lady came up to me and said, “Excuse, me.” I thought I was in her way, but she was offering to take a picture that included me. 🙂 That was nice of her. We […]
