Sunday, February 16 When lunch was over, I mentioned that I would like a few photos (because I knew there was going to be a baby shower for Nate and Abby and there would probably not be another opportunity.) Someone suggested that we start by kissing! 🙂 Our children (Diane, Jere, Deb, and Jeff) have […]

Sunday, February 16 It is not over yet ~ the reason I called this a marathon. 🙂 A birthday rose from Hezekiah. He gave it to me when we got home from the restaurant on Saturday evening. Lydia and her friend Mary Ellen. There was a lot of noise and fun and busyness when Cerwin, Diane, […]

Saturday, February 15 I told Cerwin that the only thing I wanted for my birthday was dinner with our children. He told me that it did not suit the children on my birthday, so it was planned for a week later. That was certainly fine with me. I did not know where we were going […]

Friday, February 14 Because this was a beautiful winter day ~ and Valentine’s Day ~ I am including other pictures from the day. It was a beautiful Valentine’s Day morning. Wednesday, February 12 Nancy wanted to find a special spot for my birthday breakfast this year ~ and she surely did. The Inn is old, delightful, and elegant. We were given a few choices of table locations – and because it was a cold morning, chose the fireplace. The hostess was preparing for a large group for […]

Saturday, February 8 My first gift of the day was the delivery of this beautiful bouquet of flowers from Clair (my brother) and Kate. They were beautiful – and stayed that way until my “real” birthday celebration the following weekend. Thank you! Thank you! Our grandson Josiah stopped in to give me a birthday hug, and […]

It began on February 7 and lasted until February 18. Now that I am into the last day of this marathon, I feel a bit like it has been a biblical jubilee and as of today I am in need of a biblical fast. 🙂 I will begin that tomorrow. 🙂 My birthday celebration began at Jere and Kristen’s […]

Wednesday, February 5 It was a bit late (like half a year) but we finally got together on dates – just in time for her half birthday. 🙂 She chose T.J. Rockwell’s. Tuesday, February 4 More pictures from our walk through the building where all the outfitters were advertising their hunts. Taxidermy fascinates me. Maybe it’s because I get to look at these beautiful animals up close. Cerwin considered going hunting here this fall, and had talked to the guys on the phone, so he was looking forward to […]

Tuesday, February 4 We left home about 9 a.m. to head for the show at Harrisburg. It was an especially beautiful drive – after about eight inches of snow the day before. This area was breath-taking. Cerwin was interested in finding the outfitters, but along the way we stopped to admire a wall of trophy racks. […]

More pictures of the snow from Monday, February 3. By the time the snow stopped, we had about 8 inches on the ground. I felt bad for the birds, because every feeder was covered with snow. The suet was popular as it remained free of snow. Just before lunch, I decided to fill a large, […]

Sunday, February 2 dawned beautiful, clear, and cold. It was one of those mornings when the sunrise seemed to fill the entire sky. No, I didn’t turn the camera upside down. The First Day of February

It was a beautiful, calm day in southeastern Pennsylvania as we awaited snow (again) later in the week. I had trouble eliminating any of the sunrise pictures because of the glorious coloring. My husband, Cerwin, and I have four children, seventeen grandchildren (2 are in Heaven), and 19 great grandchildren. Cerwin spent 40 years as a truck driver for Ferrellgas. We are both retired from serving with Transport For Christ - a ministry to truck drivers - and love our life in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
