Sunday Evening, August 24
We were blessed by the program presented by our church’s youth group and advisors ~ directed by Gordon.

Children’s Song ~ The Fruit of the Spirit
This is a version of the song similar to what they sang (they used a different fruit in each verse)
Oh the Fruit of the Spirit’s not a cherry
Oh the Fruit of the Spirit’s not a cherry
If you want to be a cherry
You might as well hear it:
You can’t be a fruit of the Spirit
CHORUS
Cause the fruit is
Love, joy, peace, patience,
Kindness, goodness, faithfulness G
Gentleness and self-control
Oh the Fruit of the Spirit’s not a grape
Oh the Fruit of the Spirit’s not a grape
If you want to be a grape.
You might as well hear it:
You can’t be a fruit of the Spirit
CHORUS
Cause the fruit is
Love, joy, peace, patience,
Kindness, goodness, faithfulness G
Gentleness and self-control

True Evangelical Faith
Heavenly Sunlight
Looking For a City
Heaven’s Really Gonna Shine
Sing the wondrous love of Jesus,
Sing His mercy and His grace;
In the mansions bright and blessed
He’ll prepare for us a place.
- Refrain:
When we all get to heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
We’ll sing and shout the victory!
While we walk the pilgrim pathway,
Clouds will overspread the sky;
But when trav’ling days are over,
Not a shadow, not a sigh.
- Refrain:
Let us then be true and faithful,
Trusting, serving every day;
Just one glimpse of Him in glory
Will the toils of life repay.
- Refrain:
Onward to the prize before us!
Soon His beauty we’ll behold;
Soon the pearly gates will open;
We shall tread the streets of gold.
- Refrain:
When we all get to heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
We’ll sing and shout the victory!

Our church is blessed with a wonderful youth group who encourage me with their faith.
Those are some good songs! I’ve heard the fruit of the Spirit one, but can’t remember the tune.
The Fruit of the Spirit son is a newer song – the reason “old” ladies like you and me don’t know the tune. 🙂
An evening musical program is always enjoyable!
I agree.
