December 5 – A plate of cookies from my sister. It is difficult to find cookies more delicious than those that come from the cookie bake by Nancy and their girls: Karen, Melissa, Amy and Chelsey. Because of the feedback on my two Facebook posts: “Doris Jean High” and “Pennsylvania Photography with UncoveringPA”, I called Karen to see if we could look through the rubble for a few “memory” tiles. Tuesday, December 1 and Thursday, December 3 When I learned that the 90-year-old silo was being taken down at the homestead, I knew I wanted to document it. Grandpa Hershey mentioned the silo in his book “A Time to Every Purpose.” My brother Dale remembers our dad saying that Grandpa built the silo with cantaloupe […]

My husband, Cerwin, and I have four children, seventeen grandchildren (2 are in Heaven), and 19 great grandchildren. Cerwin spent 40 years as a truck driver for Ferrellgas. We are both retired from serving with Transport For Christ - a ministry to truck drivers - and love our life in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
