Friday, July 8 This was a view from our motel. This is when I learned that it had rained during the night. Pretty flowers surrounding our motel. Following breakfast in the hotel, we went for a country drive – without having a clue where we were going. We turned left when we felt like it, […]
Thursday, July 7 Yes, we are going through the Pennsylvania tunnels again – and heading west. This time to Ohio for the TFC Truck Rally. I enjoy seeing farm scenes when we travel. I also enjoy the mountains, rivers, and bridges. We had about this much rain – a few drops – just before arriving […]
Cerwin and I were honored to be invited to speak at our friend Alan Rockwell’s funeral in western Pennsylvania. He was a salesman who sold “Jesus is Lord” mud flaps to TFC for many years. I was his contact person from 1990 to 2005. We often visited when he delivered mud flaps, and sometimes he would call me […]
Sunday, July 3 It was nice to have a relaxing Sunday following a busy week. When I am especially busy – before and following the Pennsylvania Truck Rally – I am glad that God created one day a week for worship and rest. Following church and lunch I took time to enjoy some of our birds. After […]
Saturday Evening July 2 Following Jesse’s birthday party, Jere waited for dark to set off fireworks. It was a beautiful wait. You can even see the sunset glow on the house and their faces. We noticed that the chickens were going to bed. A few came out again to investigate my camera flash. The scene […]
Saturday, July 2 Before I get to the birthday party, I have a few more experimental pictures with my new camera – from our patio. We received an email that the refrigerator Cerwin ordered for the new chapel was in, so we went to Lancaster to pick it up. Of course I had my camera along […]
We love you! Grandpa & Grandma
I love the simplicity of the flowers and birds in our yard.
We were in Ohio for the Parade of Lights – the first portion of the TFC Ohio Truck Rally. It was beautiful to see 250-plus big rigs at night. There will me more pictures after I have time to go through them.
Thursday, June 30 For his birthday gift, Nate chose a dinner date with us – and General Sutter Inn for the restaurant. (We give our children and grandchildren a variety of choices.) We had a great evening hearing about things that are going on in his life. We shared a cheese plate. Some of the dĂ©cor […]
We love you, Daddy & Mother
Thursday, June 30 A cattle truck going by our house. This was the first day that I had time to play with my new camera since Truck Rally, as it takes me about three days to do the financial reports and put things in their respective places until next June. It was nice having time […]
Construction on the chapel for Houston, Texas – June 21 to 30 June 21 – our grandsons Jared and Ian helped install the insulation. They also assisted with the ceiling. June 23.
