For his birthday gift, Nate chose a dinner date with us – and General Sutter Inn for the restaurant. (We give our children and grandchildren a variety of choices.)
We had a great evening hearing about things that are going on in his life.
We shared a cheese plate.
Some of the décor around us
I needed a new picture of him for my collage of grandchildren on our refrigerator, so asked him to pose in the doorway while we waited for our meal. After checking my camera screen, I said move over to the edge. This makes you look like you have a fan for a headpiece. 🙂
Much better
That will work!
More of the surrounding ambience
Nate’s steak and shrimp
Cerwin’s steak
My Chicken & Leek Pie – with puff pastry crust.
I will definitely order that again. It was delicious.
The evening clouds were dark with pink edges.

Oh, what a delightful evening.
That looks like a delightful dinner — happy birthday, Nate! I’m fascinated by the window shot (?) — what a neat effect!
There is outside seating – so the people you see are dining outside.
I was actually looking at the 11th picture — the abstract one! I find that one particularly intriguing!
Oh, that is artwork on the wall. I all found that intriguing.
Looks like a lovely dinner and a great time. The pictures are fantastic.
Thanks, Annie.
