Beautiful Fall Morning and Anthony

| Sunrise

Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4 The beautiful morning called me to go outside for a few pictures. These two hickory trees looked beautiful with the morning sun beaming down on them. On the next day we focused on the inside of our house as we spent the day caring for our great-grandson, Anthony. […]

Thursday Evening, November 2 Jared, our niece’s husband volunteers here – which was our connection to this banquet. Teen Central is a local center that cares for Manheim’s young people who need mentors and a place to meet with friends. We sat at a table with my sister, Nancy, sister-in-law Anne, and friends from teenage […]

Tuesday Evening, March 31 I chose this picture of the exterior of Bully’s Restaurant from the Internet, because this is pretty much what it looked like when we arrived. However, it would have been difficult for me to take this picture because of evening traffic. Mark, Diane, Deb, Roy, Chris, Jeff, and Cerwin. (We were […]

An Afternoon with Diane and Deb

Tuesday, October 31 This is something that doesn’t happen very often because our daughters live 500-plus miles apart. They rarely get to spend time together – just the two of them – and it is just as rare that we get to spend a few hours of being a threesome. Following brunch at Brenda’s house, […]

Sunday Evening, October 29 It was a rainy evening, but we looked forward to seeing friends that we haven’t seen since our last event – about a year ago. Also, it was our first time to have a meal in the banquet area – upstairs. Most of this “gang” have been friends since the late […]

Breakfast with Jere

Thursday Morning, October 26 This was the morning that suited the two of us to go out for breakfast. I am still processing the fact that we have children with gray hair. In my mind he is still that little curly-haired guy running around the house. I am glad that our children keep their promises. […]

Sunday, October 22 This was three weeks ago – during warmer days – when Mark and Diane were visiting. My husband, Cerwin, and I have four children, seventeen grandchildren (2 are in Heaven), and 19 great grandchildren. Cerwin spent 40 years as a truck driver for Ferrellgas. We are both retired from serving with Transport For Christ - a ministry to truck drivers - and love our life in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
