Cerwin said I may tell you what happened. ๐
He was listening to music on Friday while working in the garage. When he was finished, he turned the music off, but didn’t turn the switch off. It was Saturday morning when he discovered that the key was still in the car and turned onย – and it wouldn’t start.
Toyota thought it may recharge itself, but it didn’t, so Cerwin coasted it to the bottom of the yard and parked it where it would stay until Tuesday morning. It was a holiday weekend. It was right in line with all the cars at the Hershey Family Dinner so nobody knew about our car problem.
We were grateful to Kreiser’s who came with their rollback on Tuesday morning and quickly fixed the problem. We needed a new battery. The old one was not strong enough to recharge itself. It was the original battery from 2011.
It served us well, and we are thankful for this incident so that we were not left sit someplace on a road trip this supper (Ohio or Maine).
God is good all the time!
What a sinking feeling that is! I’m glad you were able to get a new battery and fix the problem quickly, and at home, after the long weekend!
He could hardly believe that he forgot to turn off the key. But it worked out okay. ๐
It happens to the best of us!
Not a good feeling to have a dead battery!
No, but we did not realize it was going bad, so it is good to have a good one for the summer.
