Hershey Family Spring Lunch

Sunday Afternoon, May 27

We used the PerfectPotluck link where each couple chose two food items to bring to the meal. I set up a variety of categories. It worked quite well.

This is my siblings, their children, and their grandchildren.

This was Lauree’s first time at this meal. Jared and Andi may be discussing Sunday school with them. I understand that Nate taught the young married couples and got some good advice on marriage. 🙂

I had tables set for 68 people. I think each chair was filled, plus a few children sat on parents laps and I noticed that a few ate outside. There were probably 40 people missing and we know of four who are pregnant.

My step-mother said, “Wouldn’t your father enjoy seeing all these children?” I agreed. He died 21 years ago. Our mother would be very surprised. The family was quite small when she died forty-four years ago.

Getting instructions and bags from Deb for the egg hunt. The children older than twelve and a few adults hid the eggs.

The youngest ones went first. This is Ramona.

Kylee already has her eyes on another egg.

Cousins Lincoln and Abe

Every child could find eleven eggs.

Jere, Kevin and Neil watching the children.

When they had eleven eggs, they took them to Deb where they received prizes. Some prizes were inside the eggs. There were notes in some eggs saying they could choose items from a container.

It looks like Jackson got a candy bracelet.

I tried to capture Jesse playing with his string poppers.

Isaac is the newest member of our family. He is my sister’s grandson. Jared and Chelsey’s little guy who was born on March 17.

I received this picture from my brother Clair. He thought I should have at least one that includes me. Left to right: my brother Dale, Cerwin, Roy, and me. I was glad to sit here most of the afternoon as we had a busy week getting the yard ready.

We were grateful to God for a very cloudy (but no rain) day. We didn’t even have to look for shade.
