Red-headed Woodpecker He is one of many birds who are enjoying the grape jelly. Yes, it was time to get a new orange. 🙂 …and I did. I put jelly out almost every day. He is an incredibly pretty bird.
Wednesday, May 27 I watched the brown thrasher pecking around the orange and grape jelly and wondered if it would be tempting for it. Then it got closer. It must have liked the jelly, because it stayed and ate for awhile.

Wednesday, May 20 When I saw this large sprayer in the homestead fields, I knew the next step was no-till planting. Interesting that this spray will kill the previous grass crop and prepare the field for the next crop. Stay tuned – I photographed the planting as well. 🙂
