Friday, June 19 It was nice to find a few daylilies at a truck show. Macungie is a large park, and a beautiful place to have a truck show Trucks continued to arrive all day long. It was a beautiful day to be a vendor at a truck show. Back at the chapel – following […]
Antique Truck Club of America – Friday, June 19 We had a pretty, hazy, drive to Macungie, which is located about one-and-a-half-hours northeast of us. The first thing we did was set up the chapel – which Jake and Cerwin took to Macungie the day before to make sure we can get into our spot before a […]

Saturday, June 6 From the Internet: The Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association was organized to promote the common business interests of persons engaged in the motor transportation industry and is dedicated to effectively representing the concerns of the trucking industry to members, government and regulatory agencies and the general public. Several TFC staff went to this event at […]
Several days ago I noticed a yellow glow outside our windows and went for my camera. It was a beautiful evening. The day lilies looked pretty in the evening sun. Since I only have a few weeks to enjoy the daisies, I try to advantage of pictures. Changing the angle of the sunlight changes the […]
Today’s Truck Rally was one like we never had in 35 years – rain and cool weather all day. About 90 (I haven’t heard the final count) brave truckers brought their beautiful rigs. That was a small Truck Rally “fleet” for us, but everyone had a good day. Another first for the rally – the […]
Monday, June 15 I had Jere and Kristen’s three youngest boys while they took Jana to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for a test to follow up on her SMA – a secondary problem to her stomach pain and nausea – probably due to fast weight lost. (Superior mesenteric artery syndrome is a rare digestive system […]
Saturday, June 13 ~~~ The Gift We were surprised to receive a package from our granddaughter Lydia. It was from Koinonia Farm where she had been serving on a work camp. (Doris doesn’t do well with that kind of heat and humidity, so Bob suggested that she spend the week with her Mother.) Doris took Mother outside […]
As soon as we noticed that this tree in our front yard was not joining the others in growing new leaves this spring, we discussed a few ways for taking it down. I was not comfortable with Cerwin taking it down and getting our sons to help. It is not super large, but it is very […]

My dad, Bruce Hershey, (left) and Cerwin’s dad, Elvin High, (right) were born the same year – just four months apart – and grew up during the depression. They were farmers and knew how to work long and hard. Both were godly, honest men who loved their wife and children. They became friends because their […]
May 31 to June 8 Passing storms created some beautiful skies in late May and early June. The birds are enjoying our beautiful warm weather. Getting ready to take off. You again? I thought if I came back on this side of the feeder you wouldn’t find me. Spraying the no-till corn field. Soon we […]
Sunday Afternoon, May 31 This was an incredibly happy day for the High family – especially Cerwin’s mother who led Crystal to the Lord last year. How exciting is that – leading a granddaughter to the Lord at the age of 96? Baptizing was in Landis Homes pool so Cerwin’s mother could be there. In the […]
