I enjoy seeing these beautiful flowers in a flowerbed next to our house. From the Internet: These lilies are oriental hybrids and are perennials. They can be grown in your garden and require a relatively minimal amount of care compared to many other types of flowers. Keeping the roots of this plant happy ensures the […]

His sisters Lois and Julia were able to attend this reunion. This day would have been my dad’s ninety-eighth birthday. Those who […]
Saturday Evening, July 14 – Mummau’s Park, Manheim, PA Everyone signed up for a designated food item. What fun to be with those who were able to attend. A few were traveling or had other plans. It was a beautiful evening – and after the meal we relaxed on lawn chairs and got to know […]
Thursday, July 12 Due to the fact that TFC is not currently building a chapel, Cerwin needed something to do – especially in winter when there are no truck shows and places to take the mobile chapel – so he asked our son Jere (CEO/Manager for Lancaster DHIA) if he needed any drivers for picking […]

We were nicely positioned along the route so I could photograph the Parade of Lights on Friday Evening, July 6. It was a beautiful evening to watch a large parade of trucks. It was dark by the time the last trucks were entering Mount Hope Event Center. Meanwhile – inside the building – Aaron Stutzman […]
We love you! Grandpa and Grandma High

Friday Morning and Early Afternoon, July 6 I love arriving in Ohio a day early so we have time to take a leisurely drive over back roads in Amish Country. These white deer (and two steers) got our attention. They weren’t thrilled when I got close to the fence so I could get a shot […]
Thursday, July 5 There aren’t many unusual photo opportunities on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, so I just relaxed, enjoyed the familiar scenery, talked to Jeff and Diane a bit, and played a game on my Nook. We arrived in Ohio in the early afternoon. After checking into our motel and getting familiar with the area, we […]
We love you! Daddy & Mother High
These are in our memory garden – the shady/partly sunny area of our woodsy yard. I agree with the information from the internet that says they can take over a flowerbed. We have to keep them from taking over the walkway and other flowers. Information from the Internet: Gooseneck Loosestrife produces unique spikes of white […]
July 4 was a quiet day for us – and since we had just been at Jeff and Chris’ for a fabulous supper and fireworks show on Sunday evening – and we knew Jere and Kristen were having a work day – and Mark and Diane live too far away, I called Deb to see […]
Sunday, July 1 We were invited to Jesse’s birthday lunch – shortly after church. His choice for lunch – before the cake – was waffles, sausage, and bacon. There were also strawberries and whipped cream. After cake and ice cream, it was time for cards and gifts. I forget why there was a mustache in […]
