We love you! Daddy & Mother
Rest in the Lord and be willing to wait for Him. Psalm 37:7 (NLV)
We love you! Daddy & Mother
Wednesday, December 28 This was the scene as we turned into Roy and Deb’s road – to go out with them for supper. Just before turning into their driveway. This was for Roy’s 2016 birthday – which was in July. 🙂 He had actually chosen something else that didn’t materialize, so he decided to wait […]
The next day it was the squirrels. I was glad there bellies were full for the snowy, icy, rainy day we had yesterday.
Sunday, December 25 It’s nice that Jere and Kristen like cooking and entertaining – and make sure each family member has a place for lunch on Christmas Day. Jana made Grinch Punch. The red rim is sugar crystals. Our name tags were made with Scrabble squares. The coffee and dessert area Pretty decorations We took a few […]
Saturday, December 24 We love being invited to join Jere and Kristen’s family for their traditional Christmas Eve movie and meal. This year we started with an early lunch at Pizza Hut. Roy and Deb also joined us as his family lives in Florida. Jere and Kristen like to make sure all family members have something to […]
On Friday morning, December 23 – the eve of Christmas Eve – I was feeling a need to go somewhere since we were having a quiet Christmas week. We had our family’s Christmas celebration on December 4 because some of our family – especially grandchildren – had many other family celebrations. Having the meal early meant that each of our Pennsylvania […]
Sunday, December 18 through Tuesday, December 20 We started Christmas week by having lunch at Pizza Hut with most of Jeff and Chris’ family to celebrate a few 2016 birthdays – Chris, Donovan, Diana, and Gloria. Oh, what fun to be with their family. The next day (Monday) we enjoyed lunch with the staff at […]
Saturday, December 17 This is what our RAV4 hood looked like from my spot in the passenger seat when we left Souderton – after the prayer breakfast. Traveling home It was good to be home – after almost two hours on the road – and look at the wintry scene from inside our warm house. […]
Saturday, December 17 We enjoyed being able to attend the Bucks-Montgomery Christmas Buffet. Because of the ice and snow, we were glad that we had spent the evening with Sam Rittenhouse. He had some pictures he wanted me to project on the wall – from a recent trip he and Bunny O’Hare made to Minnesota. Loren Parmer […]
This has been the appearance of many days recently – pretty sunrises and sunsets – with birdwatching in between. Northern Flicker Downy Woodpecker I love these early winter days.
Today, December 21 Yesterday I finished several busy weeks in the office – processing and taking staff newsletters to the post office – so I decided to go to Lancaster for some DMC embroidery floss for the photo I am stitching of Jesse. I didn’t have my camera along, so these are cell phone pictures. About two miles from […]
I enjoyed caring for our great-grandson Anthony for several hours on Monday, December 12. He loves anything that involves tractors and trucks so was captivated by the action outside our house that morning. These men were preparing to unload an electric pole. The next day it was taken to the center of a nearby field. And the […]
I put a few of our gingerbread houses out on the patio for the birds, skunks, and raccoons – and it appears that they are being enjoyed and slowly devoured.
It’s fun to see a bird at one of our feeders that I don’t see very often. At first I thought it was a Hairy Woodpecker, then I noticed the feather pattern. My heart smiles when I watch birds.
I’m playing sentinel today and keeping an eye out on the birdfeeders for you.
