We enjoy going to Hearth and Harrow now and then. It is probably the closest restaurant to us and is part of Pleasant View Retirement Community.

We met a few people we hadn’t seen for a while. Many people who eat here are senior citizens – just like us.

Cerwin got ham loaf in honor of his dad. Mashed potatoes and asparagus were the sides that came with it.

I don’t remember what my dad’s favorite meat was. Maybe it is because I am a bit like him and try a lot of things because I like most kinds of food and don’t always get the same thing. I got a veggie stir fry. It was mushroom, asparagus, and noodles in something like Worcestershire sauce.

We decided to get take-home containers so we could enjoy dessert. We ordered one chocolate lava cake to share, but they accidentally brought us two. I told the waitress that I only paid for one. She checked with someone else and told us to keep both. That was a delicious way to close our meal.

Happy Father’s Day, Cerwin. You are the best husband and father.
