Cerwin is now 2 weeks out from his first cataract surgery and 1 week from his second surgery. During that time, he was not allowed to lift more than 10 pounds or mow yard.

Our oldest son Jeff, mowed our yard the first week.

Jere (our youngest son) did it a few days after Cerwin’s second surgery.
Cerwin was also grateful for the person who took his place at DHIA both Thursdays and Fridays. Cerwin picks up milk, blood, and silage samples for testing each Thursday and Friday morning and the boxes can weigh more that 20 pounds.

He also appreciated the tulips from my sister Nancy and the many people who told him they were praying for him and those who talked to him at church both weeks to ask how he was doing.

He used the eye guard for the last time last night, so we are now down to eye drops – twice a day in both eyes. The last eye drop for his left eye will be on May 3 and for the right eye, the 10th. Then he will have a checkup with Dr. Tien on May 15. At that time, he will get new prescription glasses. For now, he only uses reading glasses when reading something that is small print.
He is beyond pleased with the results and his new, clear eyesight.
