Saturday April 11 at Gehmans Mennonite School, Denver, PA
The evening “Sound the Alarm” was a fundraiser benefit for Bowmansville Fire Company. There was also a nice variety of delicious food.

The evening began with one of our favorite local bluegrass gospel groups, Tru-Vintage

We have known Ryan Bomgardner for many years because of Ryan and Friends. We have had him perform at a Transport For Christ banquet or two and have seen him at a variety of places, including a cruise.

Ryan is a master ventriloquist from our area. Everyone loves when he tries to put Jeffrey back in his suitcase – as Jeffrey cries and protests profusely. The children are fascinated by this, and Ryan usually tells them at the end to remember that Jeffrey is not a real child. Jeffrey tries to make the audience believe that Ryan is being cruel to him.

This chicken is quite silly when it tries to find a “booger” in Ryans nose.

This old couple has lots of love and marriage advice.

When speaking to the couples in the audience, Ryan and the rest of us were surprised when this man and his wife replied “Two days” when Ryan asked how long they were married. Ryan called the husband to the stage for the magic white board.

First, Ryan drew a face

Then he asked a young artist to the stage to finish the picture: eyebrows, hair (he didn’t have much), ears, etc. Then the whiteboard began talking – his mouth moved – as Ryan had fun with both young men.

Our delightful evening closed with Ironwood Drive’s skilled singing and instrumentals.
