Photos from Our Easter Lunch at Jere and Kristen’s House

~~~Sunday, March 31~~~
Jere and Kristen purchased these flowers a few days earlier. They gave the deck an Easter effect.
The other Easter effect was their smoker – filled with a ham and a cake pan of mac and cheese.
While Jere and Kristen did the final touches to the meal the rest of us visited and had fun staying out of their way.
Jesse, Roy, Yeira, Jared, and Josh.
Cerwin, Austin, Ian and Barb. We missed Ian’s friend Nicole but were glad she could enjoy lunch with her extended family.
Lunchtime: Cerwin, Josh, Jared, Yeira, Kristen, Jere, Jana and Austin. Notice the pretty flowers in the center?
Kristen arranged these with some she bought and others that were free with a coupon.
The other side of the table: Jana, Austin, Jesse, Ian, Deb, Barb and Roy. Notice the white paper runner in the middle of the table?
Kristen wrote neat Easter messages in various places. This is what was in front of me.
Following clean up and visiting, we enjoyed Jana’s 25th Birthday cake. Her birthday was the day before.
When the birthday celebration was over, I found Roy and Ian outside talking about cars.
Well, it was a bit more than car-talk. Ian had purchased Roy’s Mustang earlier in the week. Roy delivered it when they arrived for lunch.
It was interesting that Cerwin asked Ian – just after we arrived – if he found his dream car yet. We didn’t know about this transaction, and were surprised when Ian replied, “It is being delivered today.” Since we didn’t know about this, we wondered, “Who delivers a car on Easter.”
This was just before they went out on Ian’s first drive as its owner. He wanted Roy to give him some tips on handling it.
As I posted these pictures, I wondered, “When did these grandchildren grow into young adults?”
Josh (29) and Jana (25) seem so grown up and now fit into adult conversation.
Ian, Jared and Jesse are our three youngest grandchildren. There was a time in our family that they were known as the three “little boys”. Though they are still the youngest grandchildren, they are no longer little.
