Yesterday we watched as the storm approached us, thinking it looked pretty serious.

A few minutes after this picture the wind came and bent our many tall trees from all directions. I was so engrossed in the storm that I forgot to take pictures as we went from window to window to see if the trees around our house were still standing. Within minutes the wind stopped, and we got a bit of rain – which we really needed (You can see our dry grass.)

We got messages from our children to make sure we were okay. Jeff is the only one who lost electricity. (He got that back today shortly after lunchtime.)

When I woke up this morning, I was surprised at how much damage there was in our surrounding area – no electricity and damage from trees. We praise God that our tall trees are still standing. We have one small branch down and lots of leaves in the yard.
