
It is fun seeing these critters up close, but it frustrates me when they eat the birdseed.

It looks so relaxed and innocent, and I know he has no idea that we don’t want it to be in the feeders.

I took these pictures at the same time and have a feeling this is one of his siblings. Maybe the one who knocked the feeder off of this low bench. 🙂
Oh, well. I guess we can expect this when we live in a woodlot.
About 10 years ago, grey squirrels moved into our area. The little varmints strip our 3 macadamia nut trees before they are ripe and leave a mess around our walk ways. No harvest for us. We’re at the point where we might just cut the trees down!
Oh, that is frustrating. I was advised to use Cayenne pepper. That works when using seed, but probably not in a tree. 🙂
