Father’s Day Supper with Roy and Deb

Monday evening, June 22

Together, we chose Texas Roadhouse, Ephrata, PA – on of our favorite steakhouse restaurants. Roy and Deb had never been there. I think it became a favorite steakhouse for them as well. Both said it was the best steak they had ever eaten.

Going out to eat with these two is always an interesting experience. 🙂

This is the guy we were celebrating.

He has been a father for almost 62 years: Jeff in 1964, Diane in 1966, Jere in 1969, and Deb in 1974.

We were looking forward to this evening and had lots of fun with them.

My favorite food at this restaurant: six-ounce filet mignon and seasoned rice. I also enjoyed a delicious side salad. To let you know about the sense of humor of our great waitress: when I ordered a side salad, she listed the ingredients and asked if everything was okay. I said, “You can eliminate the croutons, because I get enough bread when eating the delicious appetizer rolls.” When she brought the salad, she said, “You wanted double croutons, correct?” 🙂

We brought some of our entrees home in boxes so we could order a cheesecake. We just wanted to enjoy the taste, so ordered one cheesecake and four spoons. Oh, yum!

Another gift to Cerwin from Roy and Deb were these delicious “French Fry Sugar Cookies with Dipping Sauce” from our niece, Amy’s Mixing Bowl, LLC.

They are delicious! I really like the sugar cookie taste.
