High Family Get-Together

Sunday Evening, January 28

This was our after-Christmas-gathering. It was supposed to be in early January, but snow and Covid canceled that one. This time we had a good group – about 55 people.

This family group consisted of Cerwin’s siblings, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We missed Bob and Doris’ family, but most of them live in Minnesota and that would have been a long drive for a family meal.

If your last name is High, you brought dessert. If your last name is not High, you brought something for the meal – hot or cold.

Rod helped a few of their grandchildren get their meal.

I know the names of everyone at this table. Jeff, Waylon, Diana, Donovan, Nathaniel (holding Renee), and Anthony.

This group are members of Mel and Velda and Elvin and Pat’s families.

From our family: Lydia, Jasmine, Nathaniel, Abby (hidden), Renee, Deb and Natalie.

From Velda, Mel, Elvin and Pat’s families.

Diana (waving), Jeff, Mel and Velda. It looks like Jeff is helping Waylon to get on a chair.

A mixture of everyone.

We enjoyed watching the great grandchildren. This is our Renee. She is between walking and crawling and will soon be one year old – February 21.

These two cousins were deep in conversation. They are Mel and Velda’s great granddaughters.

Renee had a good story for her aunt Lydia.

The gym was a great place for the children and sometimes their parents.

I had fun meeting Enchelo who is here on a two-year visa from Haiti. He and Jeremy (Velda’s grandson) go to the same church. He mentioned that he enjoys photography, so our daughter Deb loaned hers to him for the last part of the evening. This is a picture of him taking a picture of me.

Thanks, Donald, for organizing the evening. It was so much fun to see everyone and enjoy the delicious food.
