We have an ash tree that has been marked by PPL (our electric company) as possibly dangerous to their electric lines. We expect they will come by before long and take it down.

Oh, no — I hope they can trim the tree rather than felling it — you’re losing quite a few trees!
There is a disease in our area that is affecting ash trees. We haven’t lost all of them yet, but each year it seems another one or two bits the dust. We are replacing them with oak and maple and whatever fits the area.
I’m sorry to hear about the ash tree disease — but replacing the trees with oak and maple sounds like a good idea — I hope they stay healthy!
