Cousin’s Week – Day 3 – Refreshing Mountain

Wednesday Afternoon and Evening, July 15

1 (1)Refreshing Mountain is about nine miles from our house, but I haven’t been there for years.

1 (2)On this day we went to swim, and to check out some other activities they offer. We made reservations for a few things on Friday.

1 (3)Jared and Jesse playing a game while waiting for the girls to change into swim ware.

1 (4)Ian playing carpet ball.

1 (5)Jared going off the diving board.

1 (6)I think that was Jesse going down the slide. After he went up the steps, I couldn’t see him behind the fence, because he was too short.

1 (7)It was Jesse.

2Gloria, Jared and Ian under the sprinkling system.

3 (12)There were lots of shoes in our garage that night. Lydia was back from a missions trip to Florida and a visit to her parents in Maine, Diana (and I think her friend Donovan was here), Jana, Gloria, Ian, Jared, Jesse, and a few man cave guys.

This was Gloria’s last evening.

4Ian came to me with a twinkle in his eye and asked if I wanted to come see what he and Sam did to the girls beds. The girls sleep on air mattresses in my basement office. the boys sleep on air mattresses in the garage, and Lydia has the guest room where she has been off and on all summer – between work camp mission trips.

5Jesse and Sam

DSC_7498Ian asked if I was upset that he and Sam used a whole bag of cheddar fish to play a trick on the girls.

DSC_7499I said, “No, I think that is a neat trick to play on them.”

DSC_7502After Ian showed me the gold fish, he covered them up with the top sheet so the girls wouldn’t see them until they crawled in bed.

DSC_7504They wanted to make sure the girls didn’t starve during the night. 🙂

More memories made for Cousin’s Week.
