Warm Amish-made donuts are difficult to resist ~ and they sell lots of them.
I was wishing that they would sell donut holes by the piece but they are placed in a container of 10 or 12. And I didn’t want and entire donut – just one donut hole.
When I sat down at the heifer auction on Friday morning, and made sure I wasn’t blocking the view of the person behind me, he replied, “No, I am just trying to find someone who would like some donut holes.” He had a box of them and didn’t want to eat all of them. (I was pleased to take one off of his hands.) 🙂
It had been a good morning for me. One of the fire police recognized me from the TFC Truck Rally, and gave me a VIP parking spot.
There are days like that – a VIP parking spot and a free donut hole. I will receive every blessing I can get.
One thing I can’t resist at this auction is the French fries. I had some for lunch.
I bought an iced tea to go with the fries then went to my chair in the main auction and enjoyed both.
Later in the day I came here for a milk shake for my supper.
There are lots of food choices.
I went by the food tent at suppertime to capture a few pictures.
Our friends Warren and Ada were getting their meal.
~~~Pole Barn Auction~~~
This is where you go if you want to find a bargain – usually.
~~~Chainsaw Artist~~~
This is the first time I saw Andrew at work.
I never did see him working with his chainsaw. Each time I walked by he was touching up a piece he had just finished.
