Frosty Morning
Tuesday, January 12 The memory garden is looking like winter. The bank cover was heavily frosted. The decorative turtle that keeps our birdfeeder basket in place had frost on his back and head. It would have been a cold morning to sit on our patio chair. Frost adds beauty to a winter morning.
Plum Creek
Wednesday, January 20 When we were together at a TFC Global Staff Conference evening last Fall, Bunny, Sam and Cerwin said, “We must get together sometime.” These three are some of the remaining “old guys” with TFC. Sam Rittenhouse made it happen about a month later when he suggested we meet at Plum Creek Creamery, […]

A Good Attitude Affects Your Entire Life Like a Beautiful Sunset Affects the Entire Sky
Photos from Saturday Evening, January 9 You may not think you are in charge of your attitude, but you are. It is fairly impossible to always have a good attitude, but it is possible to reign it in when keeping your eyes on God. I can get tired and grumpy, but I don’t have to […]
Opportunity
Saturday, January 9 One of the things I like about a new day is that every thing is fresh and new. A new day reminds me that I have the opportunity to spend another day with God. Another day to pray for our family and friends. Somedays I smile at the opportunity to pray for […]

(We extended birthday date opportunities into January because restaurants were closed so much in 2020.) Cerwin and I arrived early to secure a table for six (no reservations […]
Enjoying Winter
Friday, January 8 The other day I said to Cerwin, “When our children were small, I used to dream about having a day to myself – or even an hour.” Now here we are with many days to ourselves. 🙂 With plenty of time to watch sunrises. They make me think about all the sunrises […]

Lunch at Lititz Family Cupboard
Wednesday, January 6 I really like this stay-at-home-time-in-our-life, but it makes me grateful for out-of-the-house dates. While I enjoyed my mint tea, I looked around the restaurant for photo opportunities. The haddock sandwich “jumped” right off the menu at me so I didn’t look any further. This is the half I took home. It was […]
