Diane Was Here For a Few Days

We went to the Harrisburg Airport on Tuesday, April 30 to pick up Diane (our daughter), who will be here for a few days before flying to Nashville to be with Heze (their son), Kayla and Stetson for their baby reveal.

Jasmine, Anthony and Natalie

She spent some of the afternoon and evening with Nate and Abby (Mark and Diane’s daughter) and their children, who live only two miles from us. It didn’t take the three oldest very long to ask for a sleepover at Great Grandpa and Grandma High’s.

Wednesday, May 1: a pancake breakfast. Jazzy, Diane and Natalie

Later they played a few games of cornhole in our garage.

Natalie was quite dramatic in pitching her bag.

Because she ran toward the cornhole board, they put a hose on the floor to give her an idea of where she had to stop before releasing the bag.

We spent some of the afternoon working in flowerbeds before she took the children home.

On Thursday (May 2) Diane took us to Penn Cinema to see Unsung Hero. It is the story of Rebecca St. James, her family’s arrival in the United States, and the struggle it took for them to adjust to life in the USA and for her to get a singing contract. It didn’t take too long to discover the unsung hero in the family.

Thanks, Diane. It was certainly an appreciated gift.
