Ladies’ Fellowship Brunch

~~~
Saturday Morning, March 2
~~~

This is one of my favorite days of the year because the carport entrance and fellowship hall at our church are beautifully decorated, the food is amazing, and the fellowship and speaker is always the best.

A place for donations (there is no charge for the morning) and a signup sheet to order a CD of the speaker.

Guests are usually encouraged to attend, but this year it was a special brunch just for the ladies of White Oak Church.

Coffee table

Beautifully decorated windows.

As you can see by the window, the weather outside was not as nice as the atmosphere inside.

Setting up

Our sister-in-law Brenda was in charge of the meal and in this photo is instructing three of her granddaughters how to distribute the fruit kabobs.

Blueberry scones were eventually added next to the fruit kabobs. The scones were served with lemon curd and Devonshire cream.

The kitchen area was busy as food was being prepared and prep containers were being washed.

After the ladies were invited into the fellowship hall, the coffee table was a popular first stop.

Linnea opened the program by leading a few songs.

Welcome by Crystal

Our appetizers consisted of strawberry lemonade, salad, scones and fruit kabobs. Table decorations included pansies, candles and a guest gift packet of soil and flower seeds.

Brieanna shared a bit of her life story and how God has been faithful in every area.

She shared her early childhood, salvation experience, college years and experiences as a schoolteacher.

Following the first half of Brieanna’s story, Rose dismissed us by tables for the main brunch.

There was tomato pie, a variety of quiches, glazed bacon, sorbet and pastries.

During her second session, Brieanna shared how she and Tyler traveled through their infertility, miscarriage and journey into foster care – some of the painful parts happened while they were youth advisors as church.

One of her closing statements:

Be the reason someone believes

God is Good.

Amy gave closing comments and asked us to stand in a circle around the room for closing songs.

Before singing a song about God’s faithfulness, we sang happy birthday to Brieanna.

Thanks to the committee, cooks, kitchen help and Brieanna for a fabulous morning.

I was encouraged and blessed.
