Saturday evening, July 11 They arrived a few minutes before Cerwin got here from picking up my order at Two Cousins Pizza Restaurant, so I took advantage of getting a new photo of them for our refrigerator. The last refrigerator photo I have of them is from his brother Ian and Nicole’s wedding in May […]
It has been many years since we went to this smorgasbord. We do get there every now and then in their banquet area. It is the largest smorgasbord in North America. I took a flash photo by accident because my camera was set for that. Our friends Howard and Pat from Connecticut wanted to try […]

July 1, 4:08 am I didn’t get an opportunity to photograph the full Strawberry Moon on Monday evening June 29 but tried a few settings on Wednesday morning July 1. This was my favorite setting.

On Sunday Morning after church, Colleen came front to me with their two-year-old daughter in her left arm and this pretty vase of Daliah’s in her right hand. Saying, “I am your secret sister.” I was not totally surprised as her hints had eliminated all but two or three ladies from our church: I have […]
It has been a long time since we’ve had a resident chipmunk. They are cute, but I am not sure that I am excited to have them in our yard again.
Monday Morning, July 6 We thought Saturday night’s storm had shaken every branch and tree enough to bring down any weak trees or branches, but apparently not! At daylight we noticed a branch lying on our shed and many other medium sized branches in other areas of our woodlot. It did some minor damage to […]

We invited our grandsons Jordan and Nathan and their families to come to church yesterday to hear one of their good friends (Kyle) preach his first sermon. (They go out for breakfast on a regular basis.) They each liked the idea and did come. It was fun having them and their dad (Jeff) sit with […]
Yesterday we watched as the storm approached us, thinking it looked pretty serious. A few minutes after this picture the wind came and bent our many tall trees from all directions. I was so engrossed in the storm that I forgot to take pictures as we went from window to window to see if the […]
It was fun watching a cardinal flitting around the geraniums the other day. He fit right into the color scheme.
It is not too unusual to see these interesting field sprayers on our country roads. The larger ones look like small cars and motorcycles could drive right under them. This one just came out of the field below our house. I suspect it was spraying to kill the weeds or prior crop that were threatening […]
Sunday June 28 Each time we have company for a meal, I try to personalize it to the people and time of year. This time there were six guests and the weather was nice, so we set up in the garage, with the door open – a kind of picnic. Not everyone likes to be […]
