We love you! Grandpa and Grandma High
Saturday Evening, January 26 – Gracepoint Church Ephrata We always look forward to this program and meal at a nearby church. We like to arrive early to visit the vendors, see the prizes, and hear the afternoon seminar. Visiting vendors I stopped to admire the beautiful archery bows designed by this couple and enjoyed talking […]

Friday, January 25 It was a slow, relaxing day for us, so Cerwin suggested we use one of our gift cards for Fox Meadows Creamery. That sounded good to me. His meal – half sandwich – smoked turkey panini and sweet potato fries I started with a crème brulee latte – yum I enjoyed my […]
Making chicken corn soup on a cold winter day is good for the soul and the stomach.
The other evening – after a cold winter day – Cerwin came home with pretty yellow flowers. They have brightened our kitchen for the past week and a half. A few days later their beauty was enhanced by the evening sun. Thank you, Cerwin, for brightening our house.

It was kind of fun photographing her – even though she did not belong in our window feeder. Uh, you have birdseed on your nose. Maybe she thought that she would be safe from my camera in the next feeder. Okay, okay, I’ll leave.
We heard the strangest sound, while it was still dark, on Friday morning, January 18. Cerwin and I looked outside a few times to see if it was from the road or a neighbor’s driveway, but we couldn’t see anything, then the sound got closer. It was our grandson Josh, removing driveway and patio snow […]
Tuesday Evening, January 15 I love driving during a sunset and capturing a variety of shots. To the locals, we were driving home from Lancaster on Fruitville Pike when I took these pictures. The last few were from Penryn Road. Each was taken while Cerwin was driving – through car windows. Enjoy The moon was […]
Starlings took over the birdfeeders. Is there room for me, he asked?
Sunday Afternoon, January 13 I forgot to take a picture when we were all sitting in a circle, but this is the “after meeting” for the Truck Rally. Mark Leatherman (standing center/left) had just arrived. He is the newest committee member and will be in charge of parking the trucks. Notice Curvin Weaver and Nelson […]
