Cerwin had an arrival time of 8:45 am this morning with surgery scheduled an hour later.

In the above photo Cerwin was being prepped for cataract surgery on his left eye about forty-five minutes later than expected due to the surgeon running late. The surgeon had several surgeries before Cerwin’s.

Shortly after being moved to the bed that would transfer him to surgery.

He wanted to see the markings around his left eye.

Surgery was supposed to take between 15 and 20 minutes. It seemed to go quickly, so I expect that is about what it took. He has to wear this eye protection until tomorrow morning. After that he only has to wear it at night for the next week.

We praise God for successful surgery.
Next Monday Dr. Tien will do the same thing on his right eye.
I don’t tjoml ot cpi;d be ,icjeasoer!
I think you hit some wrong keys. 🙂
I’m sorry! I think I was commenting on how easy the cataract surgery is these days! I remember when people had to be bedridden for many days afterwards — and now people are watching TV or other visual activities by the end of surgery day! Now if I could get my computer to behave as it should, I’d be happy!
Yes, He is watching a game show on TV right now.
Been through that; was very happy once it was over that I could finally see at a distance!
This is probably the most uncomfortable time when one is finished and the other is not.
It is. How soon will the other one be done? Mine were 2 weeks apart.
The surgery on his right eye is next Monday.
So happy all went well!!

We are too. Cerwin was able to take the eye guard off this morning. He is very pleased with the results.
I know the feeling – I still remember how stunned I was when I got the patch off and realized I was seeing the world clearly without my contacts! Inge
We just got back from his post op appointment. Dr Tien said Cerwin’s healing is ahead of schedule and that he was surprised that there was very little swelling.
