My Birthday Week Celebration – Day 4 – Evening

It was a special delight to spend the evening with our children at Iron Hill Restaurant, Lancaster, celebrating my actual birth date.

Jere, Kristen, Diane, Jeff, Deb, Roy, his mom Barb and Cerwin.

Same group – another angle.

From the other end of the table.

Deb took some cell phone pictures from her end of the table.

Roy and Barb’s food was the first to arrive.

My delicious salad included strawberries, almonds and goat cheese. I also had Kennett Square Mushroom Soup. Yum!

Jere had been to an Iron Hill Restaurant in another town and highly recommended the Country Schnitzer (pork cutlets, sausage and bacon gravy, mashed potatoes, and greens). I think three or four people ordered it and affirmed that it was delicious.

When it was time for dessert, Deb made sure there was a candle and that everyone sang Happy Birthday to me.

This was a creamy, delicious cheesecake.

Someone else’s dessert. It looks like a brownie with ice cream.

Our children: Jere, Diane, Jeff and Deb. If the guys switched places, they would be in birth order – left to right.

This greeted me when I woke up in the morning. 🙂

Our children always like to see their Dads creative birthday card. He knows I prefer things like flowers and meals and that cards aren’t high on my priority list. However, I do appreciate cards. I especially like his handwritten ones. This one was written on the flip side of our NASCAR TV schedule for the year. 🙂
