This scene happened right in front of us a few days ago when we were on our way home after visiting Cerwin’s brother Elvin and his wife Pat. (She recently had rotator cuff surgery and we found her doing well.)

As first I thought the boys behind the carriage were riding their scooters at a consistent speed with the horse. Then, I noticed the distance between the vehicles didn’t change and the boys weren’t doing anything.

Then I saw they were attached and were getting a free ride. 🙂

We caught up to them at the next red light.

I think their attachment was a bungie cord or some other chord that was available to them.

They were traveling at a fairly slow speed, so it didn’t appear to be dangerous. I’m sure they were having fun.
