The corn was just coming up on this side of the road and looked yellow in the evening sunset. Notice how much taller the corn is on the other side. It was planted a week or two earlier.
We can almost hear the corn growing right now as we drive or walk by the fields.
I’ve heard that that isn’t just a saying — that on a hot quiet night when the dew point is right one actually CAN hear the corn grow!
