The day began without rain and ice, but the prediction was that it would happen while we were at church – consequently Sunday School and church services were cancelled – as were many churches in the area.

The Amish church was apparently not cancelled. However, ice is not nice for the horses either.

The rain and ice did indeed arrive, causing an icy mess because the temperature was below freezing.

The birds were in hiding during the rain and ice.

Not a place to sit and enjoy morning coffee on this cold, rainy day.

It was rather pretty to those of us who could stay inside.
