Jared’s Graduation from Lancaster County Career & Technology Center – Brownstown Campus

We thoroughly enjoyed attending our grandson, Jared’s graduation from training in Electrical Construction Technology.

We watched an interesting slide show presentation of the many departments and activities at Brownstown while waiting for the program to begin. I only photographed a few pictures that related to Jared’s Electrical Construction.

Jared is in the center – wearing a blue hat. He used his brother Ian’s hat from when he trained in the same department two years ago.

We (Jared and his parents) were pleased that he was able to train as an intern with C. M. High, Inc. Myerstown, PA. His main trainer is his brother Ian who was hired by C. M. High after graduation. Jared and Ian love working together, so both are pleased that Jared has also been hired.

Presentation of Scholarships, Certificates and Awards

Jared receiving his diploma and several awards.

Most of the following is from his mom’s Facebook page. I didn’t want to miss any of his awards. 🙂

Along with his diploma of graduation, Jared also earned one of the National Technology Honor Society awards – which was a cash award given to selected students in NTHS.

He then was awarded a “Workforce Grant” and given a cash award to purchase supplies, tools and equipment that he will use on items needed to enter fulltime employment.

A proud parent/grandparent moment was seeing Jared stand on the stage with each of his classmates and having his name called again, this time for the “Outstanding Graduate” student in his Electrical Construction class. With this award, he was given a Klein Tool bag, (Klein is a major Electrical tool manufacturer), a few t-shirts, a few Klein tools including an impact power bit set, digital clamp meter, a cash award and a large wooden box, which houses a large pliers which he will likely never use, but just set on a shelf, as a remembrance show piece.

At the close of the diploma and awards ceremony, the slideshow we saw in the beginning was presented again so the graduates could see it as well.

This part of the program was put together by the Photography & Digital Imaging students.

Leaving Warwick High School – just before 9 pm.

Stopping to visit with a friend and fellow graduate.

Yeira, Jared and Ian (love these guys)

Cerwin and I thought we needed to do something to celebrate – and these guys liked the idea. However, because Jared and Ian get up really early for work, they opted for a take-home-snack from Sheetz in place of going to a restaurant. I think they also got mozzarella cheese sticks.

There is a graduation party in a few days.
