Winter Comfort
Making chicken corn soup on a cold winter day is good for the soul and the stomach.
Flowers in Winter
The other evening – after a cold winter day – Cerwin came home with pretty yellow flowers. They have brightened our kitchen for the past week and a half. A few days later their beauty was enhanced by the evening sun. Thank you, Cerwin, for brightening our house.
Icy Rain Drops
Sunday, January 20 Early morning rain on a cold morning caused these glistening drops.
Eastern Bluebird on a Windy Day
She came to the window feeder and just sat there enduring the wind. I think she had her little “toenails” dug into the feeder.

We Have Ground Feeders for This Critter
It was kind of fun photographing her – even though she did not belong in our window feeder. Uh, you have birdseed on your nose. Maybe she thought that she would be safe from my camera in the next feeder. Okay, okay, I’ll leave.
Snow Removal with Love
We heard the strangest sound, while it was still dark, on Friday morning, January 18. Cerwin and I looked outside a few times to see if it was from the road or a neighbor’s driveway, but we couldn’t see anything, then the sound got closer. It was our grandson Josh, removing driveway and patio snow […]
Sunset Drive
Tuesday Evening, January 15 I love driving during a sunset and capturing a variety of shots. To the locals, we were driving home from Lancaster on Fruitville Pike when I took these pictures. Covey of Doves
Sunday, January 13 We came home from church to see a large group of doves in one of our trees. Before long they were arguing on the ground. Then some came to the window feeder. It didn’t take them long to get in fights over the birdseed. This one was overseeing the fights. Then there […]

Evening Snow
Saturday, January 12 Notice the date – this was last Saturday evening – not last night – even though the weather was similar. It’s always fun to capture snowflakes with the flash of my camera. Azalea bush It would have been a cold evening to sit on the patio chair. Our colander birdfeeder I enjoy […]
Saturday Afternoon Ride
I like how the late morning lighting silhouetted the Amish horse and carriage on the way out their lane.
