Thursday Evening, November 19 When I saw this in the eastern sky, I knew we were in for a beautiful sunset – on Thursday evening, November 18 Southern sky Moving the camera to the southwest. Southwest Final sign of the sun in the western sky.
Thursday, November 19 was a chicken corn soup kind of day. I love a good bowl of soup on a cold, mid-fall day.
Because of the feedback on my two Facebook posts: “Doris Jean High” and “Pennsylvania Photography with UncoveringPA”, I called Karen to see if we could look through the rubble for a few “memory” tiles. She said we could and that she and Larry had already gotten a few to use as stepping stones in a […]
Tuesday, December 1 and Thursday, December 3 When I learned that the 90-year-old silo was being taken down at the homestead, I knew I wanted to document it. Grandpa Hershey mentioned the silo in his book “A Time to Every Purpose.” My brother Dale remembers our dad saying that Grandpa built the silo with cantaloupe […]
The other day I was watching a nuthatch and at first thought its actions were something to do with mating, but I didn’t see another nuthatch and the longer I watched, the more I realized that it was upset with the wren who was eating at the suet where it wanted to eat. 🙂 The […]

We love you! Grandpa and Grandma High
Wednesday, November 18 This is what I saw when I looked out our kitchen window at 4:30 am – after getting my first cup of coffee. Now I know why this basket and the stone turtle (next to skunks tail) are on the ground. They belong on the metal stool in the upper left. I […]
Thursday, November 12 Love a cloudy sunset!
Saturday Morning, November 21 We arrived early for our 2020 birthday breakfast with Jeff and Chris. This was for Chris’ birthday. I enjoyed the quotes on the blackboard behind our table. Gracie does the chalk writing and calligraphy on all the blackboards in her restaurant. There was another blackboard across the room from us. After […]
