I posted about cutting of the fields of rye in front of our house – about a week ago. The next few days were cool and rainy, do it did not get harvested as soon as it could have.

There was finally a sunny day on May 1. It looked so pretty in the morning sun.

While I was photographing the field a school bus drove into the scene.

By noon they started tedding (turning) the rye to dry it for harvest.

By late afternoon they began the harvest.

The sun was starting to go down by the time they finished.

Then a few days later – the manure!

There is so much to do to care for the land and prepare for another crop.
It looke like a couple of weeks of daily work, and then a few months of waiting for the next crop to grow. The first shot is beautiful, and it will again be beautiful as the next crop begins to grow! You are fortunate to have such a great view of it all!
