We enjoyed lunch in a Landis Homes Retirement Community dining room with a variety of Sauder cousins. We can do this because three of Cerwin’s cousins live in this community.

We enjoy having lunch here because it is easy to choose a meal from the cafeteria and its quiet in this dining room, which really encourages visiting. A few came late and were not here when I took the pictures: Orpha and Jay and siblings Resie and Ray.

After the meal Cerwin and his Pennsylvania siblings, Velda and Elvin and I went to visit Aunt Alice in another location of the community. She is in personal care and is their aunt on the High side of the family. She seemed to really enjoy our visit which was cut a bit short by a fire alarm – just a test. The staff had to take residents out to the hallway. We were close to an exterior door and just walked outside to our car (with a nurse’s approval).
